The Terre Haute Community Health Fair is a day-long event that invites leaders of the Terre Haute community to gather to educate area residents about their health and how they can improve it.  The Terre Haute Community Health Fair began in 2005 and has been held as an annual event that is now organized by the medical students at Indiana University School of Medicine – Terre Haute.  Each year the health fair has grown, so much so that this year it has expanded to the ISU Hulman Center.

The health fair targets area residents; however, there are no boundaries when it comes to attendees.  In past years, we have helped the young and old, poor and wealthy, as well as the insured and uninsured.  The health fair is a great way for local organizations to connect with the Terre Haute Community.

Many programs and services are offered through the health fair.  In addition to the information about local organizations and services, it offers educational personal health exhibits and free screenings.  Past screenings included vision, hearing, and even kidney function.  Popular educational exhibits consist of diabetes, nutrition, and osteoporosis.

The 2010 Terre Haute Community Health Fair will be held at the ISU Hulman Center on Sunday, January 31, 2010, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
